Post movie trauma

I was so disturbed watching the new star trek movie yesterday

I guess I really bought into the characters. I still feel troubled by Admiral Pike's death, the near wrecking of the Enterprise and how many of its crew that died for it.

You see, I feel like I would want to serve in an organisation like the Federation and boldly go...
And anyone would be so lucky to have Pike as their mentor. So, I just feel disturbed

I was diverted briefly by the mention of Francis of Assisi. I looked him up. Our time does not have the monopoly on good or great men

My forest

I dream that when I grow old I will own a mid size forest and I will live by its borders and every morning I'll wake up and see it.

To be politically correct, I am not going to say what I want to do to those who come hunting in there. Think along the lines of the more macabre Roald Dahl short stories and then you'll get an idea

Obligation
